Michelle Cormier

Michelle Cormier’s career as a senior-level executive spans financial management, corporate finance, turnaround and strategic advisory situations, and human resources. She brings strong capital markets background to the Wynnchurch team, with significant experience in public companies listed in the United States and Canada. 

Michelle is an experienced leader both at the operational and Board of Director levels, with strong knowledge and experience in corporate governance. She spent 13 years in senior management and as CFO of a large North American forest products company and eight years in various senior management positions at Alcan Aluminum Limited (RioTinto). She has articled with Ernst & Young.

Experience

Michelle played a lead role in fundraising for a forest products company, raising more than $2 billion in capital in equity, debt and high-yield markets internationally and led the divestiture program. She also has raised seed capital for small start-ups. As board member, she has played a leadership role in the strategic realignment of several companies.
