Our partner and friend, Scott Farrell, passed away on March 4, 2024. Scott was instrumental in the growth and development of Wynnchurch. We had the good fortune of first meeting him when he was an executive at Safeworks in 2006. He exemplified what great management looked like and we are still using today many of the strategic tools he was kind enough to share with us. As a CEO and Operating Partner, Scott was patient and kind and always willing to help in any way he could—becoming a key contributor to the growth of several Wynnchurch investments.
Scott spent his time doing what he loved, being a pilot. He enjoyed flying his twin-engine plane and later jets for both business and pleasure. His love for aviation extended beyond personal enjoyment as he generously donated his time and aircraft to Freedom Bound Hounds, transporting rescue dogs across the country and facilitating their adoption into loving homes—a testament to his compassionate nature.
Scott was a coach and teacher at heart. We are forever grateful he chose to share this passion and talent with us both as a CEO and Operating Partner during the twilight of his career. Most importantly, he did all of this with a kind heart and sense of integrity—serving as an inspiration for all of us.
