Premier Forge’s capabilities include comprehensive forging processes complemented by in-house design and engineering, material expertise, product machining and heat-treating services.

Wynnchurch acquired Premier Forge in a corporate carve-out transaction from Allegheny Technologies Incorporation (“ATI”) in June 2019.
Opportunity
Premier Forge represented an opportunity to acquire a well-positioned industry leader with an established track record of providing high-value, complex forgings to its blue-chip customer base.
Strategy
Wynnchurch is working with management to pursue growth strategies by expanding into new end markets, geographies and products while investing in operational initiatives to improve productivity and profitability. Wynnchurch plans to pursue additional acquisitions to strengthen Premier Forge’s current market position and expand into complementary end markets.
