BUSINESS: Webex is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision-engineered rolls and custom web handling machinery for a wide range of web handling and converting applications. The company specializes in the design, engineering and manufacture of custom precision rolls including heat transfer rolls, vacuum rolls, air turn rolls, carbon fiber rolls and idlers in addition to customized machinery. The Company's primary products are utilized in a variety of markets including consumer products, packaging, films, pharmaceutical, food processing, papermaking and general industrial.
TRANSACTION: Wynnchurch Capital purchased a majority interest in Webex, Inc. in August of 2007. In conjunction with the recapitalization, Wynnchurch partnered with Webex's CEO, Paul Schulz, who maintained a significant ownership stake in the company.
